The starting point for that thread was my attempt to use an example from Rick Strahl's Fox internet book which pertained precisely to your problem. I was using PWS which works about the same as regular IIS for the purpose of this problem.

Thanks Bret, but I upgraded the OS to win2k (and IIS) and now everything's working fine.
