I hear your point about Setup. We use InstallShield, and it generally works well on the hundreds of machines that this and our other products work on.

However, one site had a problem with ONE machine (and not the others at his site)--out of MANY sites that use this software. After lengthy attempts to uninstall and reinstall this software, the app still wouldn't print/preview. In an effort to help the user running again, and also to understand the problem myself (I've just joined the development team and I've never used Crystal before), we were "dropping back and punting."

Now that I know the problem, I can write a "fixer" utility for those cantakerous machines that don't want to cooperate, and Setup routines don't fix the problem.
