Larry,
>Also, has anyone had a problem where something in VS.NET corrupted their NT/Win2K installation and they had to re-install that? During the Beta of VS 6, I heard horror stories from people saying they had to reinstall (or re-Ghost) their NT installation because something happened.
I'm getting ready to find out the same thing. In general, I think we'd all sleep better at night if we ghost our drives first, unless we're just playing with a machine that can be wiped clean and reinstalled.
I suspect that all the Windows Component updates for .NET will be changing throughout the beta, as well as massive registry changes, including eliminating some keys now being used for this beta -- if it follows usual practice.
Sorry, I have not yet blazed their trail and taken the arrows for you. :-)
