You can open Word via automation and can then retrieve either formatted text or unformatted text.

>Can anybody tell me how I can pull word documents into a memo field without sucking in all the formatting garbage. The only way I can find to do it is to open word, save as text, then pull that into the memo. There's gotta be a better way!
