I heard an exchange on Fox News last night that took place during the Broward county recount. They decided that since the person voted for Democrats for other offices, then they must have meant to vote for Gore. This is ridiculous. Bush won the state of West Virginia, but they elected a Democratic governer over a Republican incumbent. Obviously, there were many people that voted for a Democratic governer but a Republican president.
>>>I *know* that 180k number was purely conjecture, but still, "divining" the intent is dispicable, under any circumstances. I mean, who do these canvassing boards think they are, Karnak? (My apologies to Johhny Carson) < BG >

>>Do you know who these "divining" people are? Which methods of "divining" are they using? And what is this "divining" - I 've heard of is somewhere before. Maybe you'd explain what "divining" means? Like how many steps are there and what are they?

>How about, looking down a ballot and seeing that the voter voted for every Democrat, then divining that the voter intended to vote for Gore? Or doing the same with Reblicans and Bush. That is despicable.
