I thnk an even better idea would be a simple method to select a thread and then scroll the messages instead of the headers!

to be more exact, show all threads a a single header witht eh number of messages in the thread, , clicking on the thread should put ALL the messages in lth lower window

ticking individual messages takes longer than reading them!
