I remember a few weeks back reading a thread about FoxAdvisor and the possibility that the publisher was selling subscriber lists to venders. Well, here we go again. I just received an offer in the mail from Pinnacle for FoxTalk at $30.00 off. The offer says to.... send in the card, call 800 number, or order online. I chose to order on line. I filled out their docs and noted that the offer price was not $30.00 off. So I called my CreditCard Co and authorized them to accept a charge for the offer price. Then I finished submitting my request for a subscription online.

Sure enough Pinnacle attempted to charge my card for the offer price + the $30.00 "off". They did this dispite the fact that their online form specifically permits you to fill in a field value with a "special offer code". They, if anybody should know what their code means, and they should have honored their offer. Instead,like many online businesses these days, sloppy practices are in place. If you want to loan Pinnacle $30.00 until they decide you need it back, order their publication online.

It's interesting that a publication that purports to have expert advice for those of us in the Fox community can't even get their Online purchase program to honor their offer online.

3 days after I complained (online of course), I received a response from Pinnacle saying they were sorry, that the offer was only meant for previous subscribers, and oh yea, oops. Good thing I protected myself from loaning my money to their business.
