That's the interesting part. Our brains are pretty amazing when it comes to stuff like this. When you type you don't think "Press the a key which is the pinky of the left hand in the home position". You just think "a", and the brain does the rest.
Once you've convinced your brain to do it, it just happens. Or at least they think that's what would happen. ;)
