I have to design a report that is too complex for the VFP report designer. The alternative was to go by the trusty Fox for DOS @SAY commands, eg:

SET PRINT ON
SET DEVICE TO PRINT
SET CONSOLE OFF
@2,3 say say 'My Report'

However this output never gets to the printer. Anytime I check, the print job is being spooled - for as long as thirty minutes. What didn't I do right?
