>Thanks for the interest. I have a Win98 Peer-to-peer network. 2 Win2K Proff SP1 workstations have been added. All nodes run a FoxPro 2.6 DOS app + a new VFP6 database app. The VFP6 app will eventually replace the old DOS app. Occasionally [every hour or 2] on the Win2K machines I will receive a ERROR 41 "missing or corrupt memo file". The happens with both apps. Running Foxfix on the database or tables in question detects no errors, the Win98 nodes read the tables fine & do not produce errors. I suspect this may be a network or caching issues with the block size/file size of the FPT misread or misinterpreted?

Richard,
I only saw that once too (form) but forms are also memo files and I think it should apply to data too. Probably when you get the error data is in cache and fox can't find it till it's actually written/renamed from .TMP.
MS should be fixing it (I hope) and you might try diabling cache and share with us what happens.
