I have no idea about those 2.
For working with ADO you could still use VFP grids (with VFPCOM). However there are MSdatagrid, MSFlexGrid and MSHieararchicalFlexGrid Activex controls that ships with VS. When data is bound to a hierarchical recordset those are readonly.
