My system tray has lost almost all its color. Not all color is gone, but most is, the icons appear grayish now, like a color photo that has a bad light exposure. Even the tray background color is also faded to grayish (when a background color other than gray is used, it still appears grayish), so it's the entire tray that's bad, really.
Everything else is on all screens appears normal, and the web "tray" on the left side of the system taskbar is normal & brightly-colored.
The only action I did before this color-problem was the removal of an old MS Exchange Client installation (not used for a long time), and a Norton registry sweep to clean up some leftover Exchange entries as the uninstall did not complete cleanly.
I've tried everything I could think of to restore the tray color (change in settings, restarts, removal/readd tray icons, etc.), but no luck. Any ideas to repair it?
