Yeah, an important point (I agree with all the points you made in that post, btw). The major parties are often (and usually unfairly) called upon to explain the behavior of protestors who maybe-kinda-sort hold similar views.

Also, as for the was-it-anti-semitic question. Keep in mind that more protests occur on weekends than on weekdays. This one was on a Saturday. Was this coincidental? Well, maybe there were actually a few folks who noticed the religious significance and were overjoyed by the anti-orthodox sentiment it would convey. Ugly, I'll be the first to admit. But I would like to think that most did not feel that way, make the connection, or consider it significant. Maybe I am giving the human race more credit than it deserves (the Giants won yesterdat, so I am in a good mood!).
