Actually, here's another, in addition to native-code-eligible algorithms: dealing with external objects. Early-binding makes a difference here.

See my other posts, though -- while this is an interesting academic exercise, you simply cannot discuss these issues outside of a parallel discussion of good coding technique. Early-binding or not, I have seen VB code that is slow as s*** because of bad coding. I have also seen VFP data-crunching code that is embarassingly slow for the same reason.
