Yes, the Shape syntax is a pain. But, here's a thought (not sure if it will help). I have used the VB Data Environment just to build the shape command, then cut and paste into VFP.
As for you primary question, I don't know of such a utility. You could probably add some looping logic to the RS2DBF-style utilities already out there, but I imagine that the speed could be an issue.
