First off, telnet is evil. It's the 'hack me' of remote shell daemons.
If you are running syslog, you can edit /etc/syslog.conf and redirect in.telnetd logs to somewhere.
Otherwise you should find them in your /var/log/messages file.

I'd use SSH over telnet. Even if you are on a secured network.
