We are currently installing the latest version of Oracle (8i) on our servers. We intend to put two different canned third party software packages on the servers but they will be running different earlier versions of Oracle.

We would like the ability to to import data into these canned third party software packages using the SQL Loader or some other locally written software program.

Is there any difficulty with running multiple different versions of Oracle in this situation? Assuming our server is running the "latest and greatest" version of Oracle.
