Thank your for your consideration in responding.

However, my question still stands... ??? appears to be eating the 'curly braces' '{' and '}' characters in my POSTSCRIPT commands. The documentation for ??? indicates that the braces are used to indicate printer codes, i.e. the braces are stripped out and not actually sent.

If I am wrong here will someone spin me around to the right direction and give me a good boot?!
