This morning as I approached the courthouse (I walk from the train station 3 blocks away) I thought there would be a much larger Press/Police presence, but maybe I was too early. However, I had already seen news casts from in front of the Courthouse, but I saw no news casters in front when I got there and only a Court Security Guard on the corner. The CSG's are our regular security so I recognized him.

As I headed for the front entrance I noticed about a dozen police right in front of the entrance, so I "remembered" to go around back. On the side of the building was a huge RV that claimed it was an Atlanta Police Dept Mobile Command Center. Passed 2 more Atlanta cops going around to the back.

Upon entering there was none of the usual greeting or banter. The guy said, "You work in Automation, right?" Like he'd never seen me before. However, I didn't have to put my back pack through the usual xray machine. He just waved the magnetometer around me with even less effort than their usual lackluster attempts.

When I approached the elevator another CSG stopped me. Asked where I was going. I told him I worked in Automation. He looked at me real hard like he's trying to memorize my face, then let me go.

I've been holed up in my office since then (gotta work sometime). But now it's time for lunch.
