Gavin
I'm actually emailing from NZ today though it says UK in my UT profile (the company has offices in both countries)
I agree, MS has promoted VFP minimally throughout Australasia. They no longer openly damn the product (at one point VB Account reps were unashamed in advising clients that VFP is dead and should not be considered by business) but they "damn it with faint praise" very effectively- "VB with SQL Server is the most productive and best database development combination and apparently VFP can be made to interface to SQL server too."
Could you please drop me an email at
jryan@platocis.co.uk on a different topic.
Regards
JR
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
