I have received the current status on VFP 6 and DevCon from David Lazar, Product Manager Applications and Internet Client Group from Microsoft Corp.
You can also find this text at any time from the Latest News section. Here's the text:
Although Visual FoxPro 6.0 is still several months from beta, I'm excited to hear from Michel Fournier that there's lots of discussion going on about it on the UT. The theme for the upcoming DevCon in San Diego is "Getting it Done with Visual FoxPro 5.0" so our primary focus will be on the current version. But this would not be DevCon without a preview of the next version! You will have a chance at the DevCon keynote on Sunday night 9/14 to learn about some of the work in progress on VFP6 so you can see where to invest your development efforts today and tomorrow.
VFP management has agreed to send approximately 20 members of the Fox team to DevCon, so you should have lots of opportunities to talk with us about the projects you're building with VFP today, and your hopes and dreams for VFP6. We're looking forward to a great DevCon - hope to see you there!
