If the funds are available hire a qualified SQA person. I have worked with many SQA Engineers and anyone with a background in SQA will not be bored. They will bring to the table a professional approach to testing software that will not otherwise be available. The end result will be your product will be more stable and this can only help sales. Most of the companies I have worked for that used "Help Desk" personal to do SQA went out of business. One company I worked for said: "Let the customers find the problems". That company is long gone.
