Luc,
Actually it isn't a Novell message - we were running on NT at the time. It's a VFP message that says
"Then network won't give me the data you asked for so I can't give it to you so I'm just going to wait and send this stupid message until the network gets its act together"
Before the SysAdmin made his changes on our system the only thing we could do was to make sure that we trapped any problems that resulted. One REALLY bad problem was an APPEND BLANK that didn't happen. Since that command doesn't return a T/F result (like TableUpdate() or Seek() ) we had to add code to check if we were truly on a new record.
But a new hub might very well help. Also check to see if the computers are using 100-baseT cable. Moving to that helped us also.

>I've just found that I get this message on the APPEND BLANK command. I'm appending approximatly 45 records in a file and I've got the message while I was debugging. Sometimes I got the error at the first append and sometimes another one. It looks no sense. I talked with my network people and they say that they will add a HUB. Do you think it will do better?
