Hi!
Check metwork connections and, specially, connection to printer. It looks like you have delays exactly as any application have when it cannot access some network resource. Security rights, inproper network configuration in Win2K, bad connection etc.etc.
>I am integrating the Crystal Reports 8 RDC into my VFP 6.0 (SP3) app, using code based on something Joy Ruhe posted about a month ago (Thanks! helped a LOT!), and I added a call to the report object's PrinterSetup method. When I run that on my main system under Win98SE, it works fine. The dialog comes up allowing me to select a printer and set printer properties, and if I print from the view, it goes to the selected printer. This works both in the development mode under full VFP, and when I execute the compiled EXE for my app. On my laptop, using Win2K Professional, SP1, it doesn't. I installed a full copy of CR8 on there, not just the required DLLs, and it seems to make no difference. What happens there is the query runs, then I do NOT get the pritner dialog, and then after a very noticeable delay (8-10 seconds) the viewer form opens and there is my report. Other things seems slow on this laptop at times, so my feeling with that is it's just a Win2K thing, but what it puzzling me is
>that the printer dialog doesn't come up. I didn't see anythign on the Seagate site about special issues with Win2K (I'm not using ODBC, I'm copying my results to Fox 2.x tables), so I was hoping maybe someone here has run into this problem and knows what I'm doing wrong.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs
It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
