Hi!

No big difference, jus put into THIS.SERVERNAME IP address or URL server name. I don;t know, however: if you need to configure something additional for SQL Server to accept TCP/IP connection; which version of ODBC works with such syntax; or what else required to configure. I have default config for most software.

>glnHandle = SQLSTRINGCONNECT("driver={SQL Server};server="+THIS.SERVERNAME+";uid="+alltrim(THIS.USERNAME)+";pwd="+alltrim(THIS.USERPASS)+";database="+THIS.DATABASE+";AutoTranslate=no;Regional=no;QuotedId=no;AnsiNPW=no")

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
