Agreed, there is the same problem here, the titles are still stuck on Systems Analyst, Programmer/Analyst, and Computer Specialist. Those are really relics of the mainframe days...they don't even have a SW Engineer title here, let alone SW Developer.

One point about home-made frameworks, though. Yes, it's a PITA and yes if you need RAD quickly, forget about it. But given the time, the quantity of learning and understanding one gets in building a framework can be an important long-term friend.
