Unbelievable what a small cut can do to the human body. There was a recent story here in Silicon Valley about a young College Student who was a football player with a promising career ahead of him. He had a small cut on his foot and nearly lost his life due to a massive infection. His leg had to be removed to save his life.

I wish you and your husband the best and I know your husband is in good hands. Your caring for him is what life is about and that is more important than anything else. You cannot pay for good health regardless of how rich you may be. Events like the one you have experienced will take a toll on many aspects of your life. I have been through more things during 34 years of marriage than I care to describe. After you experience a serious event involving your spouse you realize your mate is more important than any material object or position you may have had.

There is a Chinese expression I have embraced since I was a teenager. “Make haste slowly”. I hope it has meaning to you – it means a lot to me.
