You are looking at it from the wrong point of view.
@..SAY is old, legacy code. It does not fit well into the object syntax that Visual apps use, not to mention the objec oriented paradigm.
If you want to keep old 2.6 code, like that, then why migrate? Just stay with FPW2.6 and that choice may work fine for you. IOW, if you want to migrate to VFP, you can't just recompile old code, but should re-design and re-architect the app from the ground app.
Else, you would be using a Corvette with a Fiat 600 engine. (I'm sure you remember those {g}).
