Hi all - Top of the Season to ya!

I think this has been visited a few times, but I can't seem to find anything on it. I've got a combo box with a value list on a form in VFP5. If I select an item on the list all is fine. But, if I enter an arbitrary value, the value is stored in the control source var and written to a target record, but does not display when the record is called up again. It seems that any value NOT in the combo box's list just doesn't display. Wassup with that?
