When you see the first record repeated it's because the report is confused about which is the 'active' table. Be absolutely certaing that the table selected just before you run the report is the table containing the detail information.

If you have a private datasession in the report, or other code in the report INIT() etc., put the SELECT there.

An easy way around this is to use a report cursor which contains all the information for the report instead of linking multiple tables.
