Hi David,

>You can use a Maximized, AlwaysOnBottom form that has code in it's Resize event.

Yes, I've tried that, however since I use a alwaysonbottom form for hiding the caracter based statusbar (this one I use for capturing the statusbar messages and display in a custom statusbar) it gives some minor disortions (and delay) when resizing the desktop, esspecially on somewhat slower machines. I decided to make the alwaysonbottom form just as large as the windows desktop to prevent this visual inconsistency.

However, when making your desktop larger it fires a paint event on the desktop form and custom statusbar. I've hooked the paint event to the resizehandler. The only problems I've got now is that I still have to use the internal timer to check if the desktopform has shrinked and that I cannot use the standard windows arranging menubars of the Window menu because if will see my alwaysonbottom form as a regular one and therefore will arrange the forms in an unexpected way.

Walter,
