Hi Kristyne,

Sorry to hear about Steve's troubles BTW and glad to hear he's going to be ok...

Well, perhaps I haven't been as clear as I should have been. I have no desire to 'go back' to many of the attitudes of yore whatsoever. I would like to 'go back' to where God isn't excluded from public life for example. I'd like to 'go back' to where there was a greater understanding of the principles that bring a more civil society - you know, being able to keep your home unlocked if you choose. Where neighbors and familes took better care of each other.

Stuff like that.

I think we'd agree that there was a lot of garbage 'back then' that should stay there. <g>

>I understand that you disagree. What I don't understand is why you believe things "back then" sometime were better than they are now. Certainly not for the women, children, minorities, or the poor. I'm not interested in returning to the days of slavery, lynchings, lawlessness, or any of the other fine things of yesteryear. There is no "back". If you want the country to turn to God, it will have to do it for the _first_ time. It has yet to be that way.

Some things were better. Certainly not all Kristyne, that's for sure.. <g>

What kind of confuses me is why folks can't see that there were good and bad things. All I'm asserting is for a return to the 'good' things.

Hey, are you planning on going to the next DevCon in San Diego? I'm hoping to make it so folks like JVP can show their gratitude for my opinions. <g>

*chuckle*

We sure do take ourselves too seriously at times, don't we? <g>
Best,
