>I agree the krud was more buried at different points in time, but it has always been there. Some time back, prostitution was legal. It was very common for saloons to have prostitutes to entertain the patrons. Until about 30 years ago, pot was legal. About 80 years ago cocaine and heroine were legal. It used to be legal to beat your wife as long as you used a thin enough stick. It was legal for small children to work, and there was no requirement that they go to school. 12 hour work days, 6 days a week was normal. People fought hard to "reduce" the work week to 54 hours.

Well, prostitution is still legal in parts of Nevada. I mean, that's what I have heard. *g*

>I don't want to go "back" to this junk... not even to prevent the publication of trash like Hustler. Freedom of the press has helped shine a light on a lot of terrible situations, and has caused many cleanups to happen. A little smut isn't enough for me to want to stamp out the first amendment.

I just get it for the articles.

>Things change. It is really tough for me to see how you can improve today's situation by going backward in time. I still think forward is the direction to go.
