Hey! Now that I find really objectionable!! *g* I was ready to let you go on about religion and politics, but now you've gone too far...
In the last decade or so, Canada has caught up with revival in interest in homebrewing, microbrewing, and brewpubs that started in California and Colorado some years ago. So we now have a very respectable range of award-winning potables and nifty establishments to enjoy them in (we even have a real ale served from the cask in one establishment). However, you are correct - the major breweries that are most visible, Molson, Labatt, Moosehead and the lot, are not very good, and they don't just stink, they stink "big-time" (oops, now there I go with the politics). If you ever visit the Quebec/Ontario region, send me some mail and I'd be happy to e-mail you some recommendations for very good local microbrews and brewpubs to check out. But bring along a german-style stein with a lid on it to keep the flies out! *g*
Cheers
