John,

Well, thanks for the information. It helps me a lot and I appreciate it.

>Very simple. I used to be a member of the Republican Party. I believe in the core principles of the Republican Party. Once the right-wing bible thumping religiious right moved in, I left the fold. Can't stand 'em. Can't stand the way they continue to bring religion into every issue.

You may laugh at this but in this area we're probably a lot closer in thought than not. As a Christian and at the same time believing that every group had the right to speak their minds and accepting the notion that in any political party that prevails has every right to set the agenda... I personally think that as Christians we'd be a lot better off in our proverbial closets praying rather than lobbying.

I have every right to my views as you or anyone else does. Your inability to 'stomach' folks who hold views that cause you such angst only demonstrates your weakness. Look, I think that there are some folks within the Republican Party that would be every bit as repugnant to me as these folks were/are to you but I'd tolerate them as long as I could get their vote on the issues I'm interested in. I would also reserve my right to engage them in dialog - to the level that they were willing.

You and I may butt heads but that in no way would make me dislike you. Hopefully your man enough to be past acting like a child. You're going to need it in your next profession.

Oh, for goodness sakes John. <g>
