Actually i am found this in my program write in VB. I want to know is it this will happen in VFP as well ?
I am using timer to do a process that will open communication port and send data out and get back data and close the com port. This process will do within the timer loop. Actually i am communicate with a hardware reader that will connect to my pc comport to do data communication.
I found that after i let this program run over night, and the next day i found that the windows system clock was late about 20 minutes ! why ? is it this cause by the timer ? or the process did within the timer loop ? because i thought that the system clock is totally free from CPU effect !! it is get from the pc mainboard ROM. is that true ??
can anyone tell me why ? or any way to prevent this ?
