I would like to be able to allow the client to use the Server Name or the TCP/IP address. Sometime what i notice is that you can ping the server from MSDOS but it won't connect from the ODBC datasource or from a DSN less connection. Can someone explain why the variations ??? Oh and sometimes it will connect using ODBC but not using the DSN less connection I'm using from my app.
