I would like to have the shell copy a file from a server to a local machine.

I have downloaded the "winfile" in the API section but this window has a cancel function. I would like the user to see the progress bar, but not the cancel button...any ideas

There is a parameter which in the comments says msg box type but there are no comments on what parameter to pass for what msg box style.

Or can I use something else to the copy....

I tried the good ol'foxpro way and it doesn't support the NT shared folder path...

IE :
Preferred way
---------------
COPY FILE '\\servername\foldername'

Look at the File System Object (FSO). There are examples on MSDN, here in the UT I believe, the Fox Wiki and of course in the recent series of articles in VFPFUG by George Tasker and Ed Rauh that invented the thing... (or was that Al Gore?) {G}
