Irc.VisualBasic.Org (or VisualBasic.Org only) port 6667, has hosted on 16th of August 1997 a chat with Greg Perry, author of the book Visual Basic 5.0 NightSchool. This was the first chat which was hosted by #avbp channel on the server and we must say it was a hour of pure enjoyment, talking to the author. We're looking up to more such chats in the near future. If someone would like I could send the log files of the chat in this forum, but modified (cutting out non-needed info).

>An additional note on that, VBBBN (Visual Basic Broad-Band Network) has an IRC channel (#vbbbn) on multiple IRC networks, including irc.visualbasic.org. These channels are all linked together with a LinkerBot (NetLink, written in Visual Basic 5.0) so developers looking for help on any of the IRC networks can talk to Visual Basic programmers, or assist other developers on any of the other networks. We are currently on irc.visualbasic.org, BeyondIRC, EFNet, UnderNet, DalNet, IRCNet, and AustNet, and we're accessable through a java IRC client on our web page at vbbbn.unixnet.org (I beleive the web server is down for upgrade at the moment, but it should be back up very soon).

>>Hey!
>>
>>I'd like to make everyone aware of a brand new IRC Server, irc.visualbasic.org port: 6667. If irc.visualbasic.org dosn't work, use just plain visualbasic.org!! This server is running on a T3 connection, so don't expect any lag! If you don't know what IRC is, I suggest you check out www.mirc.co.uk, or www.xircon.com, both have great clients avaliable for download.

>>See you there!
