you might want to look at Nigel Coate's website at www.nbcsoftware.com - he's got some excellent wrappers there that work natively with VFP, and you can study the event model that he's written. It helped me over my learning curve about 5 months ago, and the implementation was a bit more straightforward than some of the other stuff I've seen recently.
BIG PS - hey - didja ask Travis overthere??? he's a fount of arcane knowledge about this stuff.. EEK!!
