even, Delpi cannot produce apps that are faster then well written in macnine
code
but that is not the point
for data-driven apps VFP is still faster, in all that has to do with data
access,
there is nothing to stop you from writing the UI in Delphi,C++, or VB and
automate an VFP ActiveX server for data, in most cases I pretty happy with
using VFP alone.
I for example , turn to C++ when there is a need for number crunching
functions
IMHO the MS compnenet based approach of the Developer Studio, which lets you
use the best tool for each task, and combine this into a single app, beats
any single language (yes including Delphi (s)) - and this is where we are
really heading (well IMHO anyway)
