even, Delpi cannot produce apps that are faster then well written in macnine code but that is not the point for data-driven apps VFP is still faster, in all that has to do with data access, there is nothing to stop you from writing the UI in Delphi,C++, or VB and automate an VFP ActiveX server for data, in most cases I pretty happy with using VFP alone.
