When I clicked on the empty form randomly, I was able to click and see the dropdown list of the comboboxes and the insertion cursor where the text box should be. When one of the navigation buttons (moves the records in the table that is bound to the various, appropriate controls) got clicked blindly, all the controls appeared.

In the activate event, do a form refresh and see if that helps.
