I removed the msgsvc from the free table list, deleted it from the root directory of the development app, recopied it from MM into the development root directory, added it into the free table list as 'included' and rebuilt the .exe.

I then copied the new .exe, dbc, into their place in the network root dir, and copied the msgsvc from the development dir into the network root directory and ran the .exe in the network environment and it worked. All log on's had complete message boxes.

Although the same msgsvc table was originally in the network directory (because I viewed it from the dev mode and it looked OK.)there must have been a problem with the original compile that did not properly (???) recognize it. I did not keep a copy of the list from the vfp setup which may have pointed out a problem when the installation was done. But It not works.
