When I first had cable - it was blazingly fast. Now with speedtest I barely register 14k (fax) speed - it is truely horrible. Everyone shares the bandwidth, so the more people on, the slower it goes.

I have www.adelphia.net, and they are horrible for service. Any time I send them a problem, I first get an email asking if they can close the issue. Now it is so slow, I cannot connect (it is a one way cable) and every now and then my machince reboots when it connects - I've lost my email folders more than once due to this.

I just signed up for 1.5m DSL - 79 a month vs 35 a month for cable - but two fixed IPs. We shall see...
