Hi Kevin,

The message was a framework 'Application Message' 'Do you want to save your changes first' using the normal msgsvc.

Apparently the msgsvc table was not included in the free table list of the project when the original .exe was built. When I started to trouble shoot the problem the msgsvc was in the free table list of the project but was set as 'excluded'. The msgsvc table was on the distribution diskettes, and appeared in the root dir of the application on the server.

I had a real rush getting this application ready for installation and apparently did not pay real close attention to all the details.

I was also getting a file access denied message for other than the initial log on but that related to the wrong Foxuser table referenced in the config.fpw.

Many thanks to James for his suggestions to try, finally it came to drop back 5 and punt. I replaced the msgsvc, changed it to 'included', rebuilt the .exe and tried it and it worked.

Regards,

Bill
