W98sr2 + Office97 (Word97sr2) with FOXPRO26 App and VFP6.0sp4
Scenario:
Fox26 is used to generate a mailmerge data source with MEMO fields, it has too many fields to create a CSV data source. Word97 has been used many times to merge the data completely successfully.

A new non Fox app has called up MDAC_typ.exe and broken the link in the mailmerge with the msg "uSoft FoxPro Driver is no longer supported".

Control Panel ODBC shows Visual Foxpro Driver(dbc) and (dbf) have been added. If uSoft FoxPro Driver is removed from ODBC DSNs, then attempts to set up a new mailmerge no longer allow "Open Data Source" of "File Types - FoxPro(*.dbf)" and the mailmerge tries to use the dBase driver failing at the Memo field.

Adding the latest uSoft JET download to help the situation doesn't change anything.

Help!! what should I try next.
