I think it is a good thing. If your computer "burns out" when your son is on it, I say it is worth it. Just keep backups of your work.

I got a 14 month old boy and he is starting to get "curious" about computer. He grabs the mouse and clicks and click all over the screen and get frustrated when the computer doesn't respond. Then he'll finally click-click on an icon and something will come up and he would have a great big smile on his face. It is all worth it.

Computer can be replace for a mere ~$1200.00, but a smile on a little boy's face is priceless.
