Eh... I understand. But Doug was the one who brought up Higher Standards. So if both parties used and interpereted the language correctly, the above really means the same as what I said, because noone would be offended.
IOW, if the explitive was appropriate regardless of the environment, the listener should take no offense. If the word wasn't appropriate (context wise, not setting wise), the used word would be considered profane and this is not what I'm trying to defend.
