I've been using DSL for a few months now. It's fast, when it works . It seems to have iimproved with almost no down time the last couple of months. But Bell South does not *yet* have driver for Win2K (or WinMe for that matter).

>How is the DSL connected to your computer? With GTE/Verizon, I've got an external modem that connects to the wall. The modem converts the bits to something my NIC can understand and sends it down the Ethernet cable. IOW, I don't need any drivers beyond what's needed for the NIC.

External model (Efficient Networks/Alcatel) connected to the coimputer via USB port.
So right now, until they get a driver out, I have the computer open, two harddrives and I have to change jumpers when I want to do a reboot. Not a std dual boot {bg}

I downloaded a Beta Win2k driver from Efficient Networks. Could not configure it because it asked for two numbers (VCI & VPI) that I don't have. The BellSouth tech was helpful but had to ask the supervisor if they could give me those two numbers. The answer: no, it's propietary info. Wait till *they* release a production driver. When? Don't know. :(
