All,
I've been reviewing the code I am now responsible for, scared to death I would find a class and not know what to do with it. hmm... no classes. Maybe that was a good design decision I dont know. I need to rewrite a number of things because someone at my work is convinced if we get rid of the native databases and just leave a front-end to Oracle we will be better off. I am trying to figure out a way to check which is faster. or alternatively pick up the speed.
I do know that some buttons are attached to oracle remote queries now and are SLOW.... Any advice out there where I might look or testimonials one way or the other.
Our setup is a client program and remote lan databases, plus some oracle remote sql calls.

ps. does foxpro need to be "reindexed" periodically like some of our db2 products?
